GENERAL QUESTIONS

DO YOU TRAVEL?


Heck yes! I love to travel and have the opportunity to photograph new faces and new places. I charge a travel fee for session locations more than 25 miles from 32618. If overnight stay is required during my travel to your session, additional fees will apply.




WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?


I'm a natural light, on-location photoghrapher. I use the sun and available light to light up my subjects and the great outdoors is my studio. In addition, I will do indoor day sessions if great window light is available. Only when neccessary will I pull out my flash.




WHAT HAPPENS IF BAD WEATHER IS PREDICTED DURING MY PORTRAIT SESSION?


All portrait sessions are weather permitting. I keep a good eye on the weather forcast and usually make the call the evening before your session determining if the weather is going to cooperate. If necessary, we will re-schedule on another mutually convenient date.




DO YOU HAVE AN INDOOR PORTRAIT STUDIO?


No, I do not have an indoor studio. My style is outdoors, using natural light.




WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE, WHAT'S YOUR POLICY?


If for any reason you are unable to make your scheduled session, please notify me to reschedule within 72 hours advance notice to avoid a $50 rescheduling fee.




DO YOU OFFER POSED NEWBORN SESSIONS?


While I absolutely love babies and that newborn smell is intoxicating, newborns are not my specialty and I do not offer newborn sessions.





THE INVESTMENT

WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY INVESTMENT?


Let's be real, professional portraits are a luxury. You don't actually NEED them, but they are certainly nice to have. If you think about it, professional portraits are an investment. Investing in a good photographer is a wonderful experiene with more than just an end product. The pictures you will come away with become more valuable as time goes by. You can’t bring back time, and as we all know time is a thief. Capturing your family and special moments in your life is important. Getting in the photo yourself is important! I know this because I have so many portraits and even phone pictures of my husband and boys, and I'm nowhere to be found. I'm trying to be more concious of that so I schedule annual portraits with a local photographer. I want my children to be able to look back at our family photos, to show their children and generations to come. I want my great grand-daughter to see my portrait and know that she inherited my smile. Investing in portraits is an investment that keeps on giving.




DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?


Yes, portrait sessions require a $75 non-refundable deposit to reserve the date selected. Weddings require a non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the wedding collection fee. Deposits will be put towards the total cost of your session fee.




CAN I SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN?


Yes! Good photography isn't cheap. I am happy to customize a payment plan that fits your budget for portrait sessions and wedding photography. Just let me know what works for you.




I AM WORKING ON A BUDGET, CAN YOU PROVIDE A DISCOUNT?


I recommend you following my Facebook and Instagram, where you just might discover special offers and occassional model calls from time to time.





IMAGES

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES?


Portrait sessions will be delivered within two weeks after the session date. Wedding galleries will be delivered within twelve weeks after your big day.




HOW DO YOU DELIVER IMAGES?


Your images will be emailed to you with a link to your gallery and a four digit pin. All images are high resolution and can be downloaded immediately to your desktop or laptop.




DO YOU EDIT ALL THE IMAGES IN MY GALLERY?


Yes, I hand edit every single image in your gallery. Images are edited to match my individual style and include basic retouches of evening skin tone, removing blemishes and whitening teeth. Other retouch requests may result in an additional fee and potentially outsourced.




DO YOU PRINT OR OFFER ALBUMS?


Yes! Once your gallery is delivered, your individual images will show the option to "Buy Photo." This option is for prints only. If you need a higher resolution for larger prints, please contact to me directly. I am happy to work with you to build a custom album and other products not listed, just message me. All prints and printed products are produced and shipped from my professional printing company of choice, Miller's Lab.




MAY I PRINT MY OWN PHOTOS?


Absolutely! While consumer labs aren't as high quality as a professional printing lab, they get the job done. If you need a print release, please email me and I'll be happy to provide one to you.




DO YOU DELIVER PHOTOS IN BOTH COLOR AND BLACK AND WHITE?


You will receive the entire gallery in color and a couple of my favorite images from the gallery in black and white. After you receive your gallery and there's an image that you would love to have in black in white, please contact me and I'll be happy to edit the image and add it to your online gallery.





WEDDINGS

WHAT WILL YOU WEAR TO MY WEDDING?


It depends on the wedding, but you will almost always find me wearing a neutral colored dress or slacks with flats. It's my goal to look professional, blend in with the guests, but be comfortable enough to get the shot and be on my feet all day.




WHY DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL IN YOUR CONTRACT?


If you have booked me for six hours or more, I require that you provide a meal for me and my second photographer. Weddings are really hard work. We appreciate having a moment to rest and re-fuel to have the energy to keep going. Since dinner time isn't usually a photogenic activity, we ask to be served toward the beginning with you and your guests. That way we can get the meal out of the way and have time to prep camera gear before the reception festivities continue.




HOW DO I BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING DATE?


Please contact me first to find out if I am available on your wedding date. If you decide to move forward in booking me I will send you a contract for you and your fiance to sign and return to me with the non-refundable deposit. The deposit amount is 25% of the wedding collection you choose and will be put towards the entire amount due.




MAY I ADD ADDITIONAL WEDDING DAY COVERAGE AT THE LAST MINUTE?


I will work with you during the months prior to create your wedding day photography schedule. If something changes on the wedding day, additional coverage can likely be added for an additional $300 per hour.




WHAT KIND OF SPARKLERS DO I BUY FOR MY SPARKLER EXIT?


I highly recommend purchasing 36 inch sparklers. Why? Well, for starters, they burn longer. I typically ask my bride and groom to run through the sparkler exit twice, just to make sure I get the perfect shot and quite frankly, it's FUN! Shorter sparklers will burn out too soon and don't put off as much light for that beautiful sparkler exit ambience.





PLANNING FOR YOUR SESSION

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION?


I highly recommend searching on Pinterest. Try to pick colors that coordinate well, but are not matchy matchy. In addition, I would be careful to add different patterns together.




WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?


My engagement sessions consists of both a casual look and a more elegant look. You have an entire hour with just you and your honey, so there's plenty of time for a quick wardrobe change to add variety to your gallery.




HOW DO I PREPARE MY CHILD FOR THE SESSION?


Make sure your child is fed, well rested and ready to have a good time. It’s a good idea to tell small children they are going to “play” and take pictures. I want them to feel comfortable and at ease with me. For most little ones it takes some warming up before their true personalities start to come out.




CAN WE DO A WARDROBE CHANGE DURING THE SESSION?


Absolutely! A wardrobe change expected during an engagement/couples session. If you plan to do a wardrobe change though, please know that the time changing cuts into your session time. When facilities are not available to change, I will bring a wardrobe pop up tent to the session for convenience.




MAY WE INCLUDE OUR PET IN OUR SESSION?


You bet, just please let me know ahead of time.
