All American Mini Sessions - Micanopy, FL

Today officially kicks off the first day of summer, woo hoo! Although it feels like we've been in summer for months now here in the Sunshine State. One of my favorite things about summer is the 4th of July; American flags, Popsicles, sunshine, BBQ, running through the sprinkler and of course the beach. Since we're in the middle of the state here in Gainesville, the nearest beach is a 90 minute drive. Not wanting to drive far, I decided to stick with the first few items that came to mind for an All American mini session with my boys, Zach (5) and Alex (3). Since we have family roots here in Micanopy or Mica-no-key as my three year old says, we decided it was the perfect spot to get that iconic, small-town American feel for the photos and have some meaning. By the way, if you've never been to the quiet little town of Micanopy, FL, I highly suggest it, there's lots to do and see. Usually I shoot bright and vibrant, but I decided to do something a little different and play around with a film look. I was so pleased with how the photos turned out, I decided to offer my All American Minis to the local community. To my surprise all of my time slots filled up in one day! I guess it's safe to say ACR's (Alachua County Resident if you're not a local) love the U.S.A. and great photographs of course.

Happy Summer!!!
