Hi, I am Tara Hollow.

My Photography Story

I have ALWAYS loved looking at and taking pictures. As a young girl, I had a Kodak 110 film camera that I carried with me everywhere. I remember constantly begging my parents for film and to have my images developed. Fast forward to when I was pregnant with my youngest, Alex. I purchased a used DSLR wanting nice photos of my boys and my family, though, unless the camera was in auto mode, I was clueless how to use it. It wasn't until I took a full time job at UF and met a co-worker starting out her photography business, CWP Photography, that I took my photography to the next step. Christine inspired me and took me under her wing at a time in my life when I really needed a friend and a hobby. As many young mothers do, I became lost in the roles of being a wife and mom, losing sight of who I was as an individual. Photography gave that missing piece back to me and I gained a life long photography friend from it too. Now here I am seven + years later, going from "Just another Mom with a nice camera" to a professional photographer. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that this is reality and I'm living my dream.

A FEW OF MY Favorites:

I. Vacation Spot.

St. Petersburg, FL! My husband Nate and I met at Jannus Landing in 2007 and our relationship immediately took off running. We were engaged within 3 months and in 2009 we moved to St. Pete and were married on Treasure Island. During our 5 years in St. Pete, both of our boys were born in downtown St. Pete at the Bayfront Baby Place. St. Pete is forever part of us and we visit as much as we can.

II. Hobby.

Ancestry Research. Ok admit it, you thought I was going to say photography, and you'd be right, but that's a given. I spend what little spare time I have researching my family history and uploading photos to ancestry.com to paint a picture of those ancestors that came before me. I LOVE that I've been dubbed my family's historian. If the shoe fits!

III. Food and Beverage.

Tacos and Steak, there's no way to choose! Not just any steak, it's got to be Filet Mignon or Ribeye. When it comes to quenching my thirst I'm a southern girl that can't live without sweet tea. If I'm going to enjoy an adult beverage I'm a bourbon on the rocks or a Sangria kinda gal.
